The Viking War Chant originated in Iceland, with fans of the Icelandic National Team during their run in the EURO Tournament in 2016. Soon after that, the team “gifted” the chant to the Minnesota Vikings. When U.S. Bank Stadium opened that September, the Skol Chant was born.
